Total Family Parasite Prevention

Taffy getting hugsIn order to increase awareness for the potential of our pets to pass diseases on to people, we are proud to be promoting family parasite prevention.  Parasite transmission from pets to their owners has been an ever increasing concern over the past decade.  We are going to take this awareness one step further in the next two months.  We need to protect our pets and families from the diseases that they can silently carry right into our houses.

As a first line of defense is detection.  To do this, we are offering a Parasite Detection Package.  For dogs this will consist of a fecal exam, 10 blood chemistries, a CBC, Heartworm test and Tick-borne disease screen.  For cats it will be a fecal exam, 10 blood chemistries, a CBC, and a Heartworm test.

Bixby getting hugsThe second line of defense is prevention.  We need to protect against Heartworms, intestinal parasites, fleas and ticks.  We can do this by keeping your pets on some sort of annual preventative (Heartgard Plus and Frontline Plus for dogs and Revolution for cats).  These steps will allow us to keep your pet parasite/disease free and protect your family all at the same time.  Please call us today and schedule your pets Annual Exam and Parasite Prevention Screen.

 * For more information about the diseases talked about above, please go to our zoonotic disease page.
