My name is Barb, I have worked at Care since 2003.  I started out as an assistant, and am presently working as a Technician.

Prior to coming to Care I worked in retail for 13 years.  In July 1996, the store had closed, leaving me without a job.  So I went back to school and sought out a career as a surgical technologist.  In May 1999, I graduated from Gateway Technical College as a surgical technician.  After graduating, I went to work at a local human hospital, and although I love the aspects of surgery, I still felt something was missing.  I sought out the animal world bringing myself to Care Animal Hospital.  I am absolutely where I should have been many years ago.  I love what I do and getting the benefits of helping your pets.  I love to do dentals and assisting in surgery for orthopedics.  The rewards of this field far out way the sadness one can see.

I have two dogs of my own, a golden retriever and a border collie, who I enjoy playing with. I look forward to seeing you and your pet real soon.
